Central Bucks County Town Ranked Fourth Safest City in Pennsylvania

Warwick Township was recently ranked in the top five safest cities in Pennsylvania, placing fourth, according to a study from SafeWise.

According to a new study conducted by SafeWise, Warwick Township is the fourth safest city in Pennsylvania, writes Jeff Werner for Patch.

Rankings were determined by comparing FBI crime data, including violent and property crime rates per 1,000 residents.

Another Bucks County municipality, Newtown Township, also made the list of the state’s Top 10 Safest cities, placing at No. 7.

With its rankings, SafeWise is hoping to highlight cities with low per capita crime rates, sparking other cities to follow suit.

“I’m pleased to hear about Warwick Township’s recognition as one of the safest towns in Pennsylvania,” said Warwick Police Chief Jon Ogborn. “This achievement stems from the combined efforts of our community members, township supervisors and administration, and the police department, all of whom take extreme pride in our community.”

Ogborn cited the department’s community-oriented policing approach, their officers’ approachability, and their technology and police training for the area’s safety.

The chief also noted that Warwick’s administration is integral to the township’s well-being, managing public services, organizing community events, and maintaining infrastructure.

“We remain committed to sustaining and enhancing these efforts to ensure Warwick remains a safe and welcoming place for all residents,” said Ogborn.
