Four Montco Towns Rank Among Top 50 Safest Places to Live in Pennsylvania

Collegeville ranked near the very top as the second-safest place in Pennsylvania. The town of 5,134 residents had no violent crimes, which gave it a crime score of 0,00.

Four Montgomery County towns ranked among the top fifty safest places to live in Pennsylvania as of February 2024, according to a recently released report from ElitePersonalFinance.

To determine the ranking, ElitePersonalFinance used the latest data from the FBI crime statistics in the United States and calculated the total number of violent crimes per 1,000 residents.

Collegeville ranked near the very top as the second-safest place in Pennsylvania. The town of 5,134 residents had no violent crimes, which gave it a crime score of 0,00.

Lower Gwynedd Township is next at No. 47. The total number of crimes in the town with an 11,543 population was three. This puts its crime score at 0,26.

Horsham Township is close behind at No. 48 with seven total violent crimes. This puts the crime score for the town of 26,615 residents at 0,26.

Montgomery Township ranked at No. 49. The town has 26,299 residents and the total number of crimes at 7. The crime score is 0,27.

And while it did not make the top 50, Lower Moreland Township came in close at No. 56.
