New FCP Chair Falesha Grasty Focuses on Strengthening Bucks County Nonprofits

Falesha Grasty steps in as FCP chair, pledging servant leadership and stronger support for Bucks County nonprofits and families.

As Foundations Community Partnership (FCP) begins a new chapter, its newly appointed chair is bringing both heart and hands-on experience to the role.

Falesha Grasty, who also serves in leadership at Penn Community Bank, steps into the position with a deep understanding of the nonprofit landscape, having served on multiple boards herself. That dual perspective, she says, shapes how she views FCP’s mission to support organizations serving children, young adults, and families throughout Bucks County.

“We know how nonprofits can struggle,” Grasty said, noting FCP’s commitment to helping nonprofits navigate financial challenges and long-term sustainability. “There are so many ways we can help them.”

Beyond grantmaking, she emphasized the importance of education and capacity-building support for organizations that may not have the internal resources to grow.

For Grasty, the work is personal. As a parent herself, she understands the importance of ensuring that children and families have the support systems they need.

When approached about serving in a leadership role, she initially hesitated, having just completed a board chair term elsewhere. But the organization’s mission — and the people behind it — made the decision clear. “I just couldn’t say no, because I really connect with the mission. When we’re having conversations in the boardroom, I think ‘this is exactly where I want to be.’”

Now, as chair, she describes the board culture as collaborative and purpose-focused. “Everyone understands the mission,” she said. “It makes even the hardest conversations easy.” Members unify around helping as many organizations as possible — even when difficult funding decisions must be made.

Looking ahead, Grasty hopes her leadership will be defined by authenticity and service.

“I would love to be remembered as a servant leader,” she said.  “Putting community first… and even challenging what the status quo looked like.”

With that mindset, FCP appears poised to continue strengthening Bucks County’s nonprofit network that, in turn, strengthens the region’s families.
