Local Artist Displaying Watercolor Art in Washington Crossing General Store

Keith Mountford, a Bucks County resident from England, is displaying his watercolor at the Taylorsville General Store through March 22.

Bucks County resident Keith Mountford is putting his impressive watercolor pieces on display at Washington Crossing Historic Park’s Taylorsville General Store, writes Jeff Werner for Patch.

The store will be displaying his art through March 22, and viewers will have the chance to purchase his work. Part of the proceeds from the purchases will go toward the Friends of Washington Crossing Park

Mountford will also be at the store from 11 AM to 4 PM, Tuesday through Saturday until March 22.

The artist, originally from Staffordshire, England, moved to the United States in 1993 and rediscovered his passion for painting. His “watercolor realism” style allows him to create detailed portraits of architectural scenes and landscapes.

Influenced by the beauty of his surroundings, many of his pieces depict locations around the county.

Washington Crossing Historic Park was a prominent source of inspiration for Mountford, and it became the subject of a particularly meaningful work of his.

His piece depicting the Hibbs House garden was donated to the Friends of Washington Crossing Park, raising awareness about the importance of preservation.

His many bike rides along the Delaware Canal and Towpath have also inspired many of his paintings.
