AOY Art Center Sets Up Statues in Bucks County Park as Part of Recent Installation

The statues are a part of a bigger art program in starting soon.

An art center in Bucks County has placed a series of statues in a local park in a continued effort to promote creativity in the area.

AOY Art Center, headquartered at 949 Mirror Lake Road in Morrisville, have set up new statues at the Garden of Reflection 9/11 Memorial in Yardley as a part of the annual “Art in the Park” program. The program is a partnership with Lower Makefield Township, Artists of Yardley Art Center, and the Seward Johnson Atelier, and it is being financially helped by the Visit Bucks County Art Grant Program.

“The Seward Johnson Sculptures have arrived at Memorial Park as part of our Art in the Parks initiative,” Lower Makefield Township on its official social media page.

Many of the statues feature scenes such as children playing outside, a mother and child reading together, and many more.

“The theme for this installation is ‘Play for All,’ which also happens to be the Parks and Recreation Department Vision.”

Several location in and around Bucks County will serve as spaces for sculptures and other artistic endeavors by local and visiting artists.
