Central Bucks Infrastructure Projects Receive Over $2.2M in State Grants

Five infrastructure projects in Central Bucks County will receive over $2.2 million in grants through the Multimodal Transportation Fund.

Five infrastructure improvement projects in Central Bucks County were awarded more than $2.2 million in state grants through the Multimodal Transportation Fund and the Pennsylvania Small Water and Sewer Program, writes Jeff Werner for Patch.

State Senator Steve Santarsiero, along with State Representatives Tim Brennan and Shelby Labs, announced the grants, emphasizing that the investment in local sewer and water systems protects public health, preserves waterways, and creates infrastructure to serve residents for generations.

“These grants help communities make essential upgrades and ensure clean, reliable water for families and businesses alike,” said Santarsiero. “Proactive investment in infrastructure prevents inconvenient outages and costly repairs in times of crisis.”

The highest grant went to Butler Avenue Owner, receiving $850,000 for roadway widening, sidewalks, and intersection improvements along Butler Avenue and Iron Hill Road in New Britain Borough.

Doylestown Borough received $500,000 for Spruce Street Tank Rehabilitation, while North Wales Water Authority was awarded $412,515 for the Solebury Satellite Systems Interconnection.

Chalfont-New Britain Township got $224,273 for Joint Sewage Authority Pump Station upgrades, and Doylestown Borough received an additional $185,407 for water main replacement.
