Joseph Ambler Inn in North Wales Sells to Local Real Estate Investor

After four decades with its original owner, the 52-room Joseph Ambler Inn sold to local real estate investor Tilak Singh for $5.725 million.

After four decades with its original owner, the 52-room Joseph Ambler Inn has now been sold to local real estate investor Tilak Singh for $5.725 million, plus additional costs, writes Emma Dooling for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The new owner said the property will continue operating as a hotel. As an independent brand, the Joseph Ambler Inn is not affiliated with any major hotel company.

Joseph Ambler Inn Inc., owned by Richard Allman, sold the property. Allman purchased the site in 1983 and transformed it from a farm into a 15-room bed and breakfast. He later renovated other buildings on the 12-acre property and brought in two more historic houses from Montgomery County, expanding the guest rooms, while adding a bar, and creating several event spaces.

Each of the 52 guest rooms are now uniquely decorated and spread across five historic buildings. The hotel’s event and meeting spaces can accommodate groups from ten to 200 people, while the on-site American restaurant serves lunch to the public Wednesday through Sunday and dinner Tuesday through Sunday. The JPub bar also features two televisions and a cozy fireplace.
