The Doylestown Bookshop is hosting its first Bookshop Speakeasy fundraising event for the Bucks County Book Festival on Wednesday, Nov. 12, from 6 to 8 PM, writes Jeff Werner for Patch.
Guests can join the festival’s executive committee for drinks and some after-hours shopping with fellow book lovers.
The event will feature games, snacks and jazz music from Stage United and DJ Matheson Westlake.
Tickets for the event are $50 and come with a complimentary book-inspired beverage from Hops/Scotch in Doylestown.
“We are so excited to kick off our 2026 planning with a fun night of music, drinks, and book shopping,” said festival co-chair Mel D. Sullivan.
A portion of the book sales from the event will be used to support the Bucks County Book Festival’s events next year.
“The Doylestown Bookshop is a proud partner of the Bucks County Book Festival, and we are thrilled to host our first-ever Bookshop Speakeasy in support of this series of events,” said Krisy Elisii, a member of the festival’s executive committee and the Lahaska and Doylestown Bookshops’ director of events and marketing.
