Bucks County Lacrosse Coaches Alliance Hosts Annual Fundraising Event This Weekend

The Bucks County Lacrosse Coaches Alliance is hosting its annual Coaches Cup Tournament, a fundraiser for local underfunded lacrosse programs.

The Bucks County Lacrosse Coaches Alliance (BCLCA) is hosting its annual fundraiser, the Coaches Cup Tournament, on Sunday, Oct. 12, from 12 to 6 PM. The game will begin at 1 PM.

The BCLCA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering the growth of lacrosse in the Bristol area through scholarships and donations to underfunded programs. The organization also prioritizes promoting mental health.

The tournament will take place at the Bristol Township Municipal Park’s turf field, located at 2110 Bath Road. Those interested can register online. Registration is typically limited to individuals who are college-age or older.

Participants will be drafted by the teams’ goalies. Teams are decided based on each individual player’s skill ratings, reputation and the Player Profile created during registration.

Through this drafting method, participants have the chance to meet and play with new people from different backgrounds. In the past, players have ranged from 24 to 70 years old.

Teams are created with balance in mind, ensuring that each game is as fun as it is competitive.

Two additional trophies, in honor of those who were lost to mental health crises, will be awarded to standout players.
