Bensalem Actor Takes the Stage in Touring Production of Beetlejuice

Marc Ginsburg, an actor from Bensalem, is a member of Broadway’s touring production of Beetlejuice, currently playing at the Academy of Music.

The touring Broadway production of Beetlejuice is back at the Academy of Music, and Marc Ginsburg of Bensalem is a member of the cast, reports Alicia Vitarelli for 6abc

In the show, Ginsburg is an understudy for Beetlejuice as well as five other roles.

The production is an adaptation of the beloved Tim Burton classic and tells the story of Lydia Deetz, who teams up with a dead couple and Beetlejuice himself to get revenge after her mother dies.

“People really latch onto the show for different reasons,” Ginsburg says. “We have so many people who feel invisible or unseen or strange and unusual, as we say in the show, in their everyday lives. People really find something in the show that they relate to, and that’s what keeps people coming back and enjoying the show in a way that I truly was not expecting.”

Reporters caution families that the show contains a bit of foul language and some irreverence.

Ginsburg noted that the naughtiness is part of what makes the show so beloved.

The show is currently running through Sunday, Aug. 3, and tickets can be purchased online.
