A playhouse in Bucks County will be putting on a comedy that was written by one of the most famous actors in the past few decades.

Langhorne Players, whose theater is located at Spring Garden Mill next to Tyler State Park in Newtown, will see local actors and actresses perform “Meteor Show”, a comedy play written by actor Steve Martin.

The play started showing on April 21 and will continuing playing at various dates until May 6.

“It’s 1993, and Corky and Norm are excited to host the neighborhood’s new couple, Gerald and Laura, on the eve of a once-in-a-lifetime meteor shower,” the playhouse said online.

“Over the course of a wild dinner party, as the absurdly unexpected occurs, it becomes clear that Gerald and Laura may not be all they seem.”

The play is being overseen by director Jack Bathke and producer Rob Norman. Auditions for the play took place in late January.
