Row office candidates in Bucks County faced no primary challenges this week, securing their places on the general election ballot on November 4, according to a staff report from the Bucks County Courier Times.
Most races are expected to be hard-fought contests as Democrats attempt to reclaim offices currently held by the Republican bloc. Since there is no county commissioner race this year, Democrats will retain control of the county government and its budget.
In the race for Bucks County District Attorney, Democrat Joe Khan will face Republican Jennifer Schorn, the incumbent. For Bucks County Sheriff, Democrat Daniel Leo Ceisler is running against Republican Fred Harran, the current sheriff.
The Bucks County Prothonotary race features Democrat Donna Petrecco against Republican Colleen Christian, who currently holds the office. In the contest for Bucks County Recorder of Deeds, Democrat Robin Robinson will compete with Republican incumbent Dan McPhillips.
Finally, the Bucks County Controller race has Democrat Neale Dougherty challenging Republican Pamela Van Blunk, the incumbent.
