New Pickleball Facility To Open This Fall In Delaware County

A 16-court pickleball center, The Picklr, is opening this fall at Broomall Commons.

The Picklr is opening a 42,073-square-foot pickleball center in Broomall in the fall, writes Max Bennett for Patch.

The 16-court facility will be at Broomall Commons, 2940 Springfield Road, and will offer professional-grade outdoor surfacing, onsite snacks and drinks, a private event space, and free leagues, tournaments, and clinics.

The Picklr will also have apparel, equipment, and more for sale in its pro shop.

James Maguire, owner of the Broomall location, promises the community will benefit from the “best in-class indoor pickleball experience offered anywhere.”

“The Picklr takes indoor pickleball to the next level with state-of-the-art clubs, all-inclusive, one-price memberships, combined with a ‘player-first’ optimal environment, and unmatched programming for all ages, making The Picklr your best choice for indoor pickleball,” he said.

Urban Edge, owner of Broomall Commons, is looking forward to The Picklr’s arrival.

“The Picklr brings a high-demand use to Broomall Commons and we expect the increased foot traffic will benefit all of our tenants,” said Justin Lustig, vice president of Leasing at Urban Edge..

No specific date for the opening was given.

A second Picklr location is opening this summer in the Whiteland Town Center, 201 W. Lincoln Highway in Exton.
