The state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources has appointed Liam Goldbach as the new assistant manager at Nockamixon State Park in Upper Bucks County, writes Jeff Werner for the Patch.
“Liam is a great communicator and possesses the skills to excel in his new role,” said Secretary Cindy Dunn. “We are excited to learn from his passion and commitment to improving the visitor experience at one of our most popular parks in Bucks County.”
As part of his new role, Goldbach assists with overseeing the popular park, which spans 5,286 acres and includes Tohickon Creek, Three Mile Run, and Haycock Run – tributaries that feed into Lake Nockamixon. The water features make the Bucks County park a destination for boaters and anglers, as well as birders taking in migrating waterfowl.
Nockamixon offers a variety of activities, including picnicking, swimming in the pool, hiking, biking, disc golfing, hunting, fishing, and boating.
“I proudly wear the state park uniform and understand my role to help visitors have a great time outdoors,” said Goldbach. “I am grateful for the opportunity to lead at this beautiful park and to work with the incredibly dedicated staff who make this place so special.”
