An upcoming program will offer resident of Bucks County the chance to enjoy the great outdoors partaking in a fun sport.

The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission will be hosting a Family Fishing Program this weekend. The program will be held at Falls Township Community Park, located at 9125 Mill Creek Road in Levittown, on May 13 from 9 AM – 12 PM.

“The Family Fishing Program is for families with little or no fishing experience,” organizers said online.

“Participants learn basic fishing skills and to practice those skills while fishing during the program. The program is open to all ages, including children ages 5 and older. Those under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The program is free and all equipment is provided.”

The commission will also be holding an “Introduction to Fly Fishing” class at Nockamixon State Park on May 20. The ins and outs of the outdoor sport will be covered for those looking for a new hobby and a great way to enjoy the area’s outdoors.
