With his insatiable desire to improve, Archbishop Wood junior Brady MacAdams has grown from a role player last year into a key leader, guiding his team through the PCL playoffs, writes Aaron Carter for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

In the season, the 6-foot-4 wing averages 16.8 points per game, shooting 52 percent from the field and from behind the three-point line, and 80 percent from the foul line.

This is a dramatic improvement from last season, when he totaled just 106 points in 28 games while shooting 42 percent from the field, 34 percent from the three-point line, and 59 percent from the foul line.

His transformation did not go unnoticed.

“Night and day,” said Wood coach John Mosco. “He just came back with so much confidence.”

MacAdams pours everything into training. After practices, he usually heads to the gym to lift weights, then goes home to eat before getting back to shooting. Right now, he is happy with his new role.

“I would say I’m comfortable,” he said. “Like I said, I put in the hours. So I’m comfortable with the moment and everything that comes with it.”
