Here’s How Bucks County Superintendent Salaries Rank in the State
If you’re going to be a school superintendent, aim for Bucks County.
According to a review of financial data from the Pennsylvania Department of Education, about half of the school superintendents in Bucks County’s 13 school districts rank in the top 50 salaries in the state, writes Chris Ullery for the Bucks County Courier Times, as reported in phillyburbs.com.
Average superintendent salary in those districts are $223,663, about $58,107 more than the statewide average superintendent salary.
Here’s a list showing Bucks County superintendent salaries and how they rank compared to others in the state.
- Abram M. Lucabaugh, $315,000, third-highest in the state (left his district late last year).
- Charles William Lentz, $232,109, 38th highest.
- David A. Bolton, $230,625, 40th highest (has since left his district).

- Dana Tyrone Bedden, $221,1599, 50th highest.
- Thomas Smith, $216,348, 61st highest.
- Michael Nitti, $216,300, 62nd-highest.
- Samuel Lee, $210,119, 72nd highest
- Matthew Friedman, $207,000, 77th highest
- Bridget O’Connell, $206,973, 78-th highest
- Jason Bowman, $206,000, 80th highest
- Broadus W. Davis, $173,750, 170th highest
