The Devon Horse Show and Country Fair has returned for its 11th Annual Devon Fall Classic, writes Cherise Lynch for NBC 10 Philadelphia.
The event is held from Sept. 12 to Sept. 15, ensuring four days of excitement, where the nation’s top show-jumping athletes will compete in the Dixon Oval.
The $5,000 Open Jumper Welcome Stake was held on Thursday evening and the $10,000 Open Speed Stake is slated for Friday evening.
Saturday evening will be packed with jumping, first at the $7,500 Show Jumping Hall of Fame/Amateur-Owner Jumper Classic, and will conclude with the long-awaited $25,000 Devon Fall Classic Grand Prix.
Along with the eagerly anticipated equestrian competition, the Fall Classic will also feature entertainment for children, teens, and adults. The event will have boutique shopping opportunities, including home decor, gourmet food, jewelry, and more.
There will be signature amusement rides for everyone to enjoy, such as the Ferris Wheel, carousel, and a variety of games and prizes. Classic festival eats will be available, like burgers, fries, sandwiches, ice cream, funnel cake, and more.
Six-seat boxes are $375 for the full four days and include parking. Individual seats range from $8-$20, depending on the day. Tickets will be available for purchase at the gate.
