Warminster will soon see 100 native, water-loving trees planted near the Ben Wilson Community Center, writes Dino Ciliberti for the Patch.
A project aimed at enhancing green infrastructure in Warminster Township received unanimous approval from the Board of Supervisors on June 20.
Led by John McGee, chairman of the Warminster Environmental Advisory Council (EAC), and Ken Jones, president of the Neshaminy Watershed Association, the project is designed to manage stormwater runoff from nearby developments.
The project will include a mix of small shrubs and large canopy trees, strategically planted to create a visually appealing landscape from the senior center.
The EAC has secured funding for the initial 100 trees, with plans to potentially add more in the future.
