Amazon Fresh is set to open its highly anticipated 42,000-square-foot grocery store in Bensalem this Thursday, August 22, writes Paul Schwedelson for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
The store is located at 1837 Street Road, conveniently situated near I-95 and Parx Casino.
Although the store was built in 2021, Amazon paused its expansion of Fresh locations to reassess its strategy. Now, the Bensalem location will be the third in the Philadelphia area, joining Warrington and Broomall stores.
This opening comes after a period of reevaluation by Amazon, which aims to create a more successful grocery experience. With a pending liquor license for a store in Northern Liberties, Amazon Fresh is expanding its footprint across the region.
