Amazon Fresh is set to open its new Bensalem store on August 22, after extensive delays left the project in limbo, writes Michael Tanenbaum for the Philly Voice.
Located at 1837 Street Road in the Brookwood Shopping Center, the 42,000-square-foot grocery store will operate daily from 8 AM to 10 PM offering affordable groceries with Amazon Prime discounts.
The store’s launch follows challenges Amazon faced during the COVID-19 pandemic, which slowed progress on new locations nationwide.
Despite the setbacks, the Bensalem store introduces a new design and features like Dash Carts, which allow customers to scan items as they shop.
Other planned locations, including one in Northern Liberties, may soon follow as Amazon Fresh ramps up its presence.
