Family Service’s 12th Annual Homeless Shelter Benefit, held at Belle Voir Manor in Bensalem raised approximately $210,000, according to The Reporter.
The event supported the Langhorne based-shelter and its residents, bringing them closer to finding a home.
The highlight of the evening was an exciting call to action and live auction, offering desirable packages ranging from fine dining experiences to sports tickets and unique getaways.
During her remarks, Family Service CEO Julie Dees used a poignant visual metaphor, presenting 357 acorns to represent the 357 lives that have called the shelter home in the past year. She emphasized how each donation nurtures the potential within individuals, allowing them to grow and thrive.
Family Service Association of Bucks County, a nonprofit social service organization, has been in service since 1953. Their mission is to listen, care, and help individuals, children, and families overcome obstacles and reach their full potential.
