Through supporting her daughter Julia, Jodie Horger ended up revolutionizing the landscape for female wrestlers through Misfits Wrestling.

Jodie Horger, initially just hoping to positively impact her daughter and Conwell Egan student Julia’s life through wrestling, ended up revolutionizing the landscape for female wrestlers, writes Melissa Hanejko for the Bucks County Courier Times.

With Julia’s wrestling career facing the challenge of acceptance and competition against boys, Jodie founded Misfits Wrestling in Bensalem, creating a pioneering space dedicated to nurturing female talent in the sport.

Misfits Wrestling has become a vibrant hub for young women wrestlers, offering a supportive community and top-notch facilities.

The gym has attracted over a thousand participants from various states, expanding to include additional locations and even offering scholarships as girls’ wrestling gains momentum and official recognition.
