The Board of Trustees of James A. Michener Art Museum in Doylestown has selected Anne Corso as the new executive director.

The Board of Trustees of James A. Michener Art Museum in Doylestown has selected Anne Corso as the institution’s new executive director, writes Jeff Werner for the Patch.

Corso is an educator, museum professional, and arts leader. She has several decades of leadership experience, most recently as executive director of Southern Vermont Arts Center in Manchester.

“We are thrilled to welcome Anne Corso to the Michener Art Museum,” said Bob Byers, chair of the board of trustees.

“With her past success at other art museums, we are confident she is the right leader to strengthen community ties and build upon the strong foundation of this institution, which was created to celebrate the artistic tradition in Bucks County.”

Throughout her career, Corso has led museums to become vibrant cultural spaces that enrich local communities. During her time at Southern Vermont Arts Center, she helped transform the institution into a cultural hub of the community and the leading arts organization in Vermont.

“I am elated to join the incredible team at the Michener Art Museum with its talented staff, dedicated board, and deep connections to the Bucks County community,” said Corso.
