These are Bucks County’s Top Wrestlers in the Past Decade
The list of the best wrestlers in the Bucks County area is out, and several newcomers made the cut, writes Drew Markol for the Bucks County Courier Times.
Quakertown’s Collin Gaj tops the list as the best in the county. Gaj won a PIAA Class 3A title as a sophomore in a spectacular season where he went undefeated (49-0). As a freshman, he placed fourth in Hershey. Gaj is also a two-time PIAA Southeast Regional champion.
Second on the list is Faith Christian’s Gauge Botero. Last season as a sophomore, he won a PIAA Class 2A title. He also came third as a freshman and is a two-time PIAA Southeast Regional champion.
Third place went to Pennridge’s Josh Stillings, a four-time PIAA Class 3A qualifier and three-time PIAA medalist. Stillings, who graduated in 2018, placed fourth as a sophomore and improved on that by placing second as a junior. He went all the way and won a state title as a senior.
The top five is rounded out by 2017 Council Rock South graduate Zack Trampe and 2019 Palisades graduate Nate Haubert.
