A 76-year-old Air Force veteran from Trevose, Tom Roberts, is redefining what it means to be Santa Claus, according to NBC 10.

Dressed in a lavish $1800 suit, Roberts is not just any holiday figure; he’s a symbol of dedication and love.

“He brings the magic,” says his daughter Chaney Roberts. “He brings spirit definitely.”

Her words resonate with the community’s sentiment towards Roberts, who is celebrated not only for his festive spirit but also for his generous heart.

Tom Miller, a friend of Roberts, describes him as “a good-hearted person who helps people out.” This is evident in Roberts’ actions beyond the Santa suit. He’s known for his volunteering, especially in collecting food and giving back to fellow veterans.

“It’s not easy to be a Santa,” Miller commented. Even his daughter thought he was “nuts” for his deep commitment to the role.

Throughout the year, people often approach Robins, recognizing in him a natural fit for Santa. His response is profound yet simple. “Anybody can put on a red suit,” Robins says, “but you gotta do it from here,” pointing to his heart, the true home of his Santa spirit.
