Amid the influx of changes in the Doylestown Barn Plaza, the shopping center’s leasing company has a redevelopment plan for the former sites of the movie theater and Applebee’s, writes Michele Haddon for the Bucks County Courier Times.

The leasing company, Brixmor Property Group, recently submitted the proposed plan, which includes demolishing existing theater structures, creating space for four restaurants, three retail outlets, and a medical office, and constructing three new buildings.

Two new restaurants and one retail shop would be replacing the former Applebee’s. However, the leasing and development company has not yet released details on which businesses will occupy the spaces.

In an e-mail, the property group told Bucks County Courier Times that they will share retailer names once the leases are finalized.

On Dec. 18, the township zoning hearing board is scheduled to review the application.
