Two Bristol Township School District middle school educators presented at the Pennsylvania Positive Behavior Support Implementers’ forum in Hershey, according to Levittown Now.

Regina Mazzocchi of Neil A. Armstrong Middle School, and Megan Gancarz, a coach at Ben Franklin Middle School, presented on how to organize the Tiered Fidelity Inventory or TFI.

This system measures how schools implement their School-Wide Positive Behavior Interventions and Support programs, which provide support to students to improve social, emotional, and behavioral outcomes and academic performance.

The TFI includes lesson plans, action plans, mission statements and more. In the presentation, the coaches shared tips on how to reduce time preparing for a TFI.

Both Mazzocchi and Gancarz have been collaborating so that their two schools can have similar SWPBIS programs.

Neil A. Armstrong Middle School was awarded for successfully implementing all three tiers of the behavioral programs. Brookwood Elementary School and Keystone Elementary School also were recognized for their successful implementation of the programs.

All members of the SWPBIS team in each Bristol school attended the forum.

“The entire district is committed to working towards the goal of positive school culture and climate,” said Mazzocchi.
