The local woman has worked with two organizations for the betterment of the community.

A Bucks County woman is being recognized for her import community work, which has made a huge impact on her local town.

Damita Harvey, who works as the prevention manager of the Bristol Cares Coalition and No Longer Bound Prevention and Training Services, was recently recognized by a local organization for her work in the community.

“Congratulations to Damita Harvey who has been chosen as one of YWCA Bucks County’s Women Who Make a Difference,” the Bristol Township School District said on social media. “She will be honored at their 30th annual fundraising dinner on Oct. 27.”

Harvey is one of several local women who have been recognized by the YWCA. Earlier this month, Keira Seidman, a junior at Bensalem High School, was recognized for her community work that many see as exemplifying the hard work of women of all ages in the Bucks County area.

“As the prevention manager of Bristol Cares Coalition and No Longer Bound Prevention and Training Services, Damita works to create a sense of community in Bristol Township and Bristol Borough. We love partnering with Damita and appreciate all the work she has done for our students!!”
