One of the most well-known music groups to come out of Bucks County has dropped a hint as to their plans to celebrate a major milestone.

Ween, whose two core members hail from New Hope, took to social media to post a vague announcement. On both their Facebook and Instagram accounts, the band posted pictures of a chocolate bar, a slice of cheese, and a message that read “9/27/24 Philadelphia.”

While no further information was posted, the date written will be the 30th anniversary of their fourth studio album, “Chocolate and Cheese.” The band is known to regularly perform their “home shows” at the Metropolitan Opera House, also known as “The Met“, in the city.

Back in August, another one of their albums celebrated its own anniversary. “Quebec”, their eighth studio album, was released on Aug. 5, 2003, by Sanctuary Records.

The band kicked off a nationwide tour this summer, which started in late July in California and ended this month in New Hampshire. Fronted by singer Gene Ween (Aaron Freeman) and guitarist Dean Ween (Mickey Melchiondo), the childhood friends grew up in the popular riverside town.

Learn more about the announcement at the band’s official website.
