One of the most popular rock groups from Bucks County has recently worked with an artist to bring their mascot to life in eye-catching images.

Ween, a rock group that hails from New Hope, recently worked with artist Danny Steinman to create a few colorful pins for their fans. The pieces feature the band’s mascot, Boognish, which has been prominently featured on merchandise and several albums.

The pins will be available at the merchandise tables during the band’s summer tour, which starts on July 28. Starting in California and ending in mid-September in New Hampshire, the Bucks County rockers are taking their large repertoire of songs across the United States.

“It’s been such a pleasure working with #WEEN all these years,” the artist said on social media. “Getting to make art for your favorite bands is as exciting as it gets. Prepare to scrape the mucous off your brain, children.”

Fronted by singer Gene Ween (Aaron Freeman) and guitarist Dean Ween (Mickey Melchiondo), the childhood friends grew up in the popular riverside town. One of their most-played venues is John and Peter’s, which recently celebrated 50 years of shows and good times in mid-April.
