Bucks County Authorities Investigating Mysterious Explosion in Northampton Township

Authorities in Bucks County are continuing to investigate an explosion that occurred in Northampton Township over the weekend.
Dispatchers with the Bucks County 911 Center received at least 75 calls about the explosion around 10:30 PM on Saturday. A local drone team was sent out that night and Sunday morning.
In collaboration with the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office, the Bucks County Rangers and the Northampton Township Police Department and Detectives are handling the investigation.
Currently, there is no known source of the explosion, although several local media outlets have reported residents hearing and feeling the aftermath of the explosion in several townships and boroughs around the county.
Back in May, officials from The College of New Jersey confirmed that a small object that struck a home in Hopewell Township, New Jersey was a stony chondrite meteorite, weighing 2.2 pounds and estimated to be 4.56 billion years old.
