Bensalem Township is Looking for a New Fire Chief. Here’s What to Know About Applying

A township in Bucks County is searching for the perfect applicant who has the ability to oversee the area’s fire department.

Bensalem Township is accepting applications for the position of Full-Time Career Fire Chief. This is a new position in the Bensalem Township Department of Public Safety.

Officals encourage highly-qualified applicants to apply to the position.

“It is the mission of Bensalem Township Fire Rescue to protect our citizens, visitors and their property from the risk of fire, explosions, and other hazardous conditions,” the township said online. “This mission will be accomplished through aggressive fire investigations, fire suppression, fire code enforcement, and fire prevention education.”

With over 60,000 residents and an estimated quarter of a million people during business hours, the township is the largest municipality in the county.
