Bucks County Transport has launched its new DART South Route to provide Warrington residents with easy and affordable transportation.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at the Shops at Valley Square on Aug. 24 to unveil the new buses that will be used to help residents commute around the area.

“We would like to take a moment to express our gratitude for all of the support for this launch from the community, the DART Committee, and local, county, state, and Federal officials,” the nonprofit said online.

“A special shout out to all of the businesses that donated food and beverages for yesterday’s ribbon cutting ceremony. We appreciate all of you!”

The new route will operate Monday through Friday starting from 8:30 AM and ending at 5 PM. This will offer a connection for riders who use the Doylestown DART and DART West routes. Each ride will cost $1. Seniors 65 and older will ride for free.

Sponsors of the occasion include Great Barn Brewery, Panera Bread, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Ardana Food and Drink, P.F. Chang’s, Gran Rodeo Mexican Grill, Wawa, Walmart, and Wegmans.
