The nonprofit has named one of their suites after a major donor's founder.

Kin Wellness and Support Center, located at 2325 Heritage Center in Furlong, recently received a donation of $50,000 from The Thompson Organization. To honor the donation, the wellness center has named their mental health suite the Jack Thompson Counseling & Therapy Suite in honor of Thompson’s founder.

“We are proud to be a part of Kin,” said Laura Thompson Barnes of the Thompson Organization.

“It is an amazing resource designed to support cancer patients and their families and caregivers. You can feel the positive energy and love the minute you walk through their door.”

Through the support of The Thompson Organization and hundreds of local businesses and donors throughout the Bucks County community, Kin is thriving, and now cares for over 285 local cancer patients and their caregivers. Over the last year, Kin has offered guests over 1,823 free treatments, classes, sessions and workshops.

“I’ve had the pleasure of working with this amazing organization for years and they continually uplift the community through their amazing charitable donations and support,” shares Keith Fenimore, the Executive Director of Kin.

“Jack was a ‘people first’ leader and given that so many of his employees, their families and his customers have been touched by cancer, I understand the motivation for Mrs. Thompson, Laura, John and Pat McGinley to want to designate this money to Kin and support our non-profit’s work.
