Enjoy plentiful pours from the more 30 local craft breweries that will be in attendance on Saturday, June 3 at the Still Waters Brewfest.

Sponsored by Brothers Kershner Brewing Co. and Montco Makers, the event is being held from 12-5 PM at the 4-H Center of Montgomery County, located at 1015 Bridge Road in Collegeville, and will benefit the Skippack Historical Society. The brewfest will also feature fantastic food, as well as live music from The Keystone Breakers, a local band that blends roots country, southern blues, and outlaw country.

For drinkers at the Still Waters Brewfest — in native tongue, Skippack means “still waters” — tickets are $55. For designated drivers, tickets are $10.

Purchasing one will support the preservation of Skippack Village’s historic roots, as the nonprofit Skippack Historical Society formed in 1967 for the purpose of researching and documenting the many historical sites and rich history of the Skippack Valley.

“Back when we were scouting locations for our brewery, Skippack fit the bill perfectly,” said Kevin Kershner, owner of Brothers Kershner Brewing Co. “We love history, and the history here is pretty lush — George Washington and his soldiers camped here during the Revolutionary War. We’re proud that the brewfest supports the Skippack Historical Society.”

Furthermore, the Still Waters Brewfest is a proverbial showcase of the local breweries that have made our region a premier destination for lovers of craft beer.

“Last year was our first year hosting the event,” said Kershner. “It’s great to be able to bring our colleagues in the craft beer industry together for a great afternoon.”
