The distillery worked with a New York-based group to create a new whiskey blend.

A distillery in Bucks County has partnered with a group of whiskey aficionados to create a new brew, complete with an eye-catching bottle.

Dad’s Hat Rye, located at 925 Canal Street in Bristol, recently collaborated with The Prime Barrel, a Brooklyn-based company, to create “Hat Trick”, a new blend for their fans.

The New York group worked with the distillery to make the blend, featured in bottles with unique art.

“We liked each of them separately, but as a blend, they work so much better as a finished product!” the whiskey group said online. “Since this is a custom blend, we need to provide folks at the distillery with an idea of how many cases we would need, hence the pre-sale.”

Founders Herman Mihalich and John Cooper decided to start making rye whiskey twelve years ago. They use ingredients from a Bucks County farm in each batch they create and they age the whiskey in oak barrels made specifically from Pennsylvania trees.

The distillery operates a tasting room at 131 Mill Street.
