The distillery has won awards for several of their whiskey creations.

Dad’s Hat, a distillery located in Bristol, is producing award-winning whiskey made out of local rye and using a classic recipe that was invented in Pennsylvania, according to a staff report from 6abc.

Founders Herman Mihalich and John Cooper decided to start making rye whiskey twelve years ago. They use ingredients from a Bucks County farm in each batch they create and they age the whiskey in oak barrels made specifically from Pennsylvania trees.

The popular distillery also offers tours of its facility at 925 Canal Street, but you have to make an online booking to get one.

The owners also opened a tasting room at 131 Mill Street in Bristol Borough. Here, you can enjoy a plethora of cocktails that always feature their rye whiskey in combination with drinks that would usually feature a different liquor.

And should you wish to expand your horizons, try their espresso martini and mojito, which use whiskey in a way that might come as a surprise.
