An annual event, honoring those who served their community to the end, is scheduled to take place in Bucks County next week.

The Bucks County Police Memorial Ceremony will be held at Saint Andrew Catholic Church, located at 81 Swamp Road in Newtown, on March 22 at 7 PM. The event will honor Bucks County law enforcement officials who died in the line of duty.

“It is an honor to have the Bucks County Police Memorial Ceremony held at Saint Andrew Catholic Church in Newtown Township each year,” the police department said online.

“As always, we encourage everyone in the community to join us in doing our small part to honor and never forget those officers that made the ultimate sacrifice while protecting our communities.”

The event is held during Police Memorial Week in order to honor late officers from in and around the area.

The church is located across the street from Council Rock High School North.
