Looking to Get Outside? Here’s How You Can Celebrate ‘Trails Day’ in Bucks County

For those looking to see the great outdoors in Bucks County, an upcoming celebration might be the perfect occasion to enjoy local trails.
The Bucks County Planning Commission, along with local nonprofit TMA Bucks, will be celebrating ‘Trails Day’ on April 22.
“Visit the Southampton Train Station, along the Newtown Rail Trail, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. for some giveaways and information about our Bucks County trail system,” the Bucks County Government said online. “Or just come on out and celebrate trails!”
The station is located at 613 Second Street Pike in Southampton. The Newtown Rail Trail runs 2.5 miles and connects to several other areas and trials. Making its way to Upper Southampton Township, those taking the trail can make their way to Tamanend Park to enjoy the outdoors.
On the western end of the trial, walkers and bikers can start on the Pennypack Trail that takes them out of the county and into the Philadelphia region.
One of the last parts of the trial will bring locals and visitors to the 1.7 mile stretch of the Churchville Nature Center. Surrounding the Churchville Reservoir, this part of the trail will let walkers enjoy one of the most untouched pieces of nature in all of Bucks County.
