The event will give several storytellers the opportunity to entertain a local audience.

A historic theater in Bucks County will be hosting several performers in May who will share interesting and entertaining stories.

The Newtown Theatre, located at 120 North State Street in Newtown, will hold its second annual oral storytelling event on May 7 at 2 PM.

“Finding Home: An Afternoon of Storytelling” will feature three professional storytellers – Nashid Ali, Bill Wood, and Oni Lasana – and two amateur storytellers sharing original tales about the search for a place to call home.

Whether it’s a physical dwelling or a state of mind, the universal yearning to be at home in the world has created some of the most compelling stories.

Tickets are available at the theater’s website. They cost $20 per person or $15 for theatre members. This event is recommended for adults. It is not a children’s storytelling event.

The theater will also be hosting “A Tribute to James Taylor” on May 13 at 8 PM.
