One of the oldest libraries in Bucks County will be hosting a literary event for locals and visitors looking for something new to read.

The Old Library by Lake Afton, located in Yardley, will be hosting a book swap event on May 13 from 1 – 4 PM. The event is being hosted by the Yardley Historical Society, which is a partner of the historic library.

“It’s time to stock up on your summertime reading materials,” the library said online. “Please bring no more than one grocery bag full of books of current interest to adults and/or children and trade them for a new-to-you supply.”

For those looking to update their bookshelves this year, this is a fun and engaging way to find new books and interact with your community inside a historic property.

“And please remember that it’s a Swap, not a Drop. There is no room to store large quantities of books at the Old Library.”
