A recent community yard sale in Bucks County raised money that was donated to a local library and will be used to fund their operations.

Falls Township’s Parks and Recreation Director Brian Andrews presented a check worth $1,310 to the Fallsington Library representatives at a recent Falls Supervisors meeting. The funds raised came from the community yard sale at Falls Township Community Park, which was held on April 15.

The township held the first community yard sale back in October. That event raised $650, which also went toward the library’s operations. This years event saw more than 70 vendor spaces active at the sale.

Those in attendance included Supervisors Brian Galloway, Jeff Boraski, Jeff Dence and John Palmer, as well as Fallsington Library representatives Melanie Douty-Snipes, John Lopuszanski, Neil Vance, and Parks and Recreation Director Brian Andrews and Charlene Rendeiro.

The event has helped the library keep up on its operations and sustain its spot in the community.
