A business owner from a town just outside of Bucks County is facing serious medical issues, and his community is working to help him.

Anthony Lukas, co-owner of Iron and Oak, a furniture store in Lambertville, was recently affected with a series of health issues that have left him and his family was massive medical bills. In a town known for its small business community, several family friends and fellow business people are rallying together to help one of their own.

“Anthony’s recovery depends on the help of physical therapy,” the GoFundMe page said. “He needs to relearn how to swallow, hold his body upright, use the right side of his body and regain the ability to communicate.”

“Whether it’s strapping a sofa to his back and climbing a ladder to deliver it to a second story room, literally saving a man’s life, helping friends during Ida or fostering and then adopting three great kids – Anthony is a force of nature.”
