The local designer will be hosting a show in Philadelphia this weekend.

A designer from Bucks County is making unique pieces of clothing in an effort to change the idea of femininity in fashion. Aziza Shuler wrote about the designer for CBS Philadelphia.

Rachel Bromberg, a fashion designer from Yardley, will be hosting and directing an upcoming show called “Figures”, which focuses on redefining concepts of the feminine in the fashion world.

A graduate student at Temple University, Bromberg has worked on a fashion show for her master’s thesis, which focuses on the concept of what made women’s fashion over the course of recent history.

“I just always wanted to empower women,” Bromberg said. “I just want women to feel comfortable in their own skin because it is a struggle sometimes with the fashion world.”

Her show will be held at Location 215, a studio located in Philadelphia, on Sunday at 5 PM. The show will feature pieces that Bromberg has created, showcasing her fashion ethos and her ideas of what fashion can be in the modern age.
