A Bucks County school has awarded a generous donation to a local organization that works to help those with mental illness.

The Middle Bucks Institute of Technology recently raised $1,000 for the NAMI Bucks County, a local nonprofit that aims to assist those living with mental illness and other similar conditions.

“NAMI Bucks County helped nearly 47,000 people last year, and now, with this generous contribution from MBIT and Salon Extreme, we will reach even more individuals and families who need our support,” said Nick Emeigh, Associate Executive Director for NAMI. “Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!”

“Thank you to all who came to the salon for a service, buy products, or donate to the cosmetology fundraiser on December 12th,” said JoAnn McLaughlin front he school. “Thanks to everyone’s help, we were able to raise $1000 to donate to NAMI in honor of our former student.”
