Multiple students form the Bucks County area have been recognized for winning scholarships through an annual essay-writing contest. Staff writers for the Bucks County Courier Times wrote about the scholarships.

TheLegacyof1776.com hosted their second annual Scholarship Essay Contest. The essays focuses on the United States Constitution, as well as other topics related to civics.

Jessie Jin, a Council Rock North High School senior, took home first place. Hailey Morath, a senior attending Conwell-Egan Catholic High School, was the runner-up. Both students will receive scholarships to further their academic endeavors.

Organizers of the contest hope that the essay writing portion will help students to grow to appreciate American history, devoid of modern partisanship that can tend to divide rather than unite.
