A Bucks County historical organization is partnering with a preservation society to teach locals the importance of keeping cemeteries intact.

The Historic Langhorne Association will be collaborating with the Bucks County Genealogical Society and local organization Tidy Tombstones to showcase the process of preserving and restoring tombstones at old Bucks County graveyards. Jim Davis, a member of Tidy Tombstones, will oversee the demonstrations on Oct. 17 at 7:30 PM.

“Jim Davis will present an overview of the restoration process of cleaning and repairing gravestones,” the Historic Langhorne Society said on their official website. “Before and after pictures will be shown as well as favorites from his years of tidying up the tombstones of Bucks County.”

The event will be held at the Historic Langhorne Association, located at 160 West Maple Avenue in Langhorne. The event is free and open to the public, but there is limited seated.
