The new museum will give visitors a glimpse into Bucks County's past.

A local church will be the location of an upcoming talk on Yardley’s history in the Bucks County area, touching on its deep history. Dino Ciliberti wrote about the upcoming event for the Yardley Patch.

The African Methodist Episcopal Church will host and upcoming presentation titled “Yardley Borough’s Hidden Figures and Fascinating Facts in Plain Sight.” Shirley Lee Corsey, who oversees the Gather Place museum at the church, will host the event.

Set up in the early 1800s by African Americans that had moved to Bucks County, the church is now home to Gather Place, housing several artifacts related to the area’s history.

The new museum location recently has an open house, where residents and tourists were able to see a side of Bucks County history that is not much talked about.
