The foster care service recently received a hefty donation of their operations.

A Bucks County foster care service recently received a donation from a fun sports center that is located in a nearby town. Staff writers at The Reporter wrote about the recent donation.

Back in early August, Chris Howard, an instructor at Skydive Philadelphia in Perkasie, set a new record for skydivers as he jumped from a plane 101 times in a 24-hour period. The occasion? It was not only to celebrate his 40th birthday, but also to raise funds for a local foster care service.

Through donations he received during the event, Howard and his skydiving center were able to raise over $5,000 for Bucks For Kids, which is based out of nearby Doylestown. The volunteer organization works with Bucks County Children & Youth, which works with foster children in the Bucks county area.

The funds will be used to support extracurricular activities for the children, such as sports events, summer camps, and important items like books for when they go to college.
